“Red is the colour of passion, let’s be passionate about learning!”
On 25th January 2025, kindergarten(Prenursery, Nursery and prep) class of St. Joseph’s High School (English Medium) Jokalandi, celebrated “Red Day” with great excitement and enthusiasm. The event was organized by Mrs. Nandini Sahoo, Mrs. Renu Rana Singh and Mrs. Minakshi under the guidance of Sr. Archana, the principal, to help the children learn about colours, and the colour red was chosen for this special day.
The students arrived at school dressed in various shades of red, including red shirts, dresses, hats and accessories. The atmosphere was vibrant, with decorations in red, such as balloons, hearts, and posters adorning the stage and the classroom.
The day started with an engaging assembly on the theme of the colour red. The children recited rhymes and action songs about different red objects found in nature, like apples, strawberries and red flowers which sparked excitement among all.
The children also participated in several creative activities, including colouring red-themed pictures, making red handprint artand creating red paper flowers. They showed great creativity and had a blast during these activities.
To wrap up the celebration, the children enjoyed a red-themed snack, featuring strawberries, cherries and red apples. Everyone sang songs and clapped along as they learned more about the colour red.
The Red Day Celebration was not only fun but also an educational experience for the kindergarten children, helping them recognize colours and enjoy learning through activities, stories and games.
Overall, it was a memorable day filled with joy, laughter and lots of learning!
