“No one can truly say goodbye to a teacher because they live on in the heart of their students”.
On 18th December 2024, a heartfelt farewell celebration was held in honor of MisMamataMahanty, who has been an integral part of the St. Joseph’s High School English Medium family. The event was organized to recognize Miss Mamata’s invaluable contributions and dedication to teaching, as well as to bid them a warm goodbye as she embarked on a new chapter in her life.
The celebration took place in the school premises and was attended by faculty, staff, students and other members of the school community. The event was filled with gratitude, laughter and emotional speeches that reflected the positive impact Miss Mamata has had on both students and colleagues alike.
The event began with an opening speech by the Principal, Mrs.Nilu and Mrs.Sanghamitra, who expressed appreciation for Miss Mamata’s years of service. Then principal shared how she had not only excelled in her teaching role but had also inspired countless students and colleagues with passion for education and unwavering commitment to the school. Students from Standard IV performed a special dance dedicated for Mis Mamata.
Following this, several teachers and students took turns sharing their memorable experiences. Students recalled how Miss Mamata had made a difference in their academic lives, and many shared how their guidance had helped them grow personally and academically. Teachers also spoke highly of her professionalism, creativity and camaraderie.
As part of the farewell, a small token of appreciation, a personalized gift, was presented to Miss Mamata by the students and faculty.
Before the conclusion of the event, Miss Mamata delivered a touching speech of gratitude. She expressed her deep appreciation for the support and friendship she had received over the years and acknowledged the collective efforts that made their teaching journey so rewarding.
The event ended with heartfelt goodbyes and well-wishes for Miss Mamata in her future endeavors. The farewell celebration was a fitting tribute to a teacher who will always be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to learn from and work with them.
The event was a resounding success and memorable for all the students as well as the staff.
