I am delighted to know that St. Joseph's High School (English Medium), Jokalandi is launching a website. It will be a pleasure for parents, teachers and students to access information about the school activities, achievements etc. from the website. As a centre of educational excellence, the school has proactively responded to the challenges from time to time. The school has taken great strides and its website will be another milestone in the annals of the history of St Joseph's School. There is an unexplainable feeling of contentment in knowing that this educational institution has been instrumental in serving the seekers of knowledge from every strata of society without any discrimination. Many consider education as a medium or a window to a world of luxury by getting high salaried jobs, earning money etc. But education happens when one's way of thinking gets changed and one starts thinking for the betterment of the society, country and world at large. Education is oriented towards holistic development of every student, not restricting him or her to achievements of academics but to form and transform lives. We learn countless lessons of life every day. The way we live our life depends on the choices we make in life. We have a choice – how to accept life, how we should live our lives and how we should respond in life. Students, focus your attention on the brighter side of life. Believe in God and believe in the strength within you. Let the magnanimity of human spirit shine bright through your acts of kindness and compassion. It is the Almighty that designs and designates the future. All we can and must do is yield to God's plans.I wish and pray that the school scales great heights under the competent leadership of Sr Archana.May you march forward with maximum enthusiasm to attain a galaxy of glory.

I am indeed delighted to knowabout the launch of our newly designed websitefor St. Joseph's High school (English Medium), Jokalandi. The school over the last few years has emerged as a portal of academic excellence and character building. The abundant co-operation of the staff has resulted in consistent excellence shown by the students not only in academic results but also in various other fields of co-curricular activities like sports, dramatics, music, dance, oratory, and many more.

The resources, facilities and avenues provided to the teachers and the students help them strengthen their skills in making teaching - learning an enriching and joyous journey with myriad experiences. Over the years, the entire world over has strong realisations that only through right education can a better order of society be built up. For education to be rewarding and meaningful, it is of utmost importance that all the three vital components i.e., students, school and parents work in unison. So let us continue to march ahead with perseverance and an indomitable will to succeed on this journey of excellence.

A good education is a foundation for a better future. Father John Peter Medaille, Our Founder, believed that the core of education is to inculcate values in seekers of knowledge. Principles of Compassion, Commitment, Conscience, Competence, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Collaboration and Care for the Mother Earth and the Cosmos, form the reason d’etre of education. We, at St Joseph’s High School (English Medium), believe that education is more than attaining “bookish knowledge.” We believe in education that is oriented towards the wholistic formation of an individual. It focuses the development of mind, heart, body and spirit. Instilling religious and moral values is fundamental to education, we believe. Education imparted in our school develops the spiritual, intellectual, social, aesthetic and physical abilities of students, so that they can become mature adults who would contribute their talents and skills for the welfare of family, society, nation and humanity. We affirm that every child is unique and is a miracle that is born with enormous potential. We encourage and promote a perfect harmony between Academic, Social and Emotional Learning. This harmony is the key for the holistic development of our children. It results in developing their academic skills, making right choices in life and preparing them well to face the future, leading them to shoulder leadership responsibilities in life. Leadership traits such as self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making are instilled in our students from a very young age. Josephites are encouraged to strive for excellence in whatever task they are entrusted with. A focus on excellence means striving for quality in all that they do by manoeuvring innate abilities and available opportunities. A commitment to excellence brings one closer to living it well and to attaining the dreams. We follow Our Motto which is Live in the Light by making them academically accomplished, athletically vibrant, morally strong and socially sensitive, thus being a light in the society. Guided by a vision “Empower to Excel in the Emerging World,” and lighted by a passion for excellence, we accelerate towards progress. Thus, we accomplish our Mission of providing safe and learning experience to discover and develop potentials for an integral development to be responsible citizens.

Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think. -Albert Einstein I feel honoured and privileged to be part of an educational institution where education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations. We foresee the better future of the children and train their minds to think. Our staff fruitfully employ for the student achievement where child's learning involves and revolves around an effective partnership between home and school. We look at ourselves as a community of learners where everyone learns including our parents, teachers and students. I wish all the best to our teachers and students. Let us make the difference to aim high and excel in the world.
