On October 5th,St.Joseph’s High School English Medium, Jokalandi ,celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi to honour the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. The assembly began with a prayer followed by a plethora of programs.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by the school principal, Sr. Archana who emphasized the significance of Gandhi’s principles of non-violence and truth in today’s world.
A melodious rendition of a bhajan, “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram,” was performed by the school choir, evoking the spirit of unity and peace.
Selected students delivered insightful speeches on Gandhi’s life, his struggles for independence, and his philosophy. They highlighted how his teachings remain relevant in contemporary world.
Student representatives from each class from Standard VI to IX shared inspirational quotes from Gandhi, reflecting on how they can apply his teachings in their daily lives.
The assembly concluded with a call to action by the principal, encouraging students to embody Gandhi’s values of kindness, respect, and service to others.
The celebration not only paid tribute to a great leader but also inspired the students to reflect on their roles in promoting peace and harmony in society.
The Gandhi Jayanti celebration was a heartfelt tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and also a memorable occasion that left a lasting impact on all the students and teachers.
