Van Mahotsav Celebration at St.Joseph’s High School(English Medium) Jokalandi,Bharatpur

The spirit of environmental consciousness came alive at St.Joseph’s High School(English Medium)as the students and staff celebrated Van Mahotsav with great enthusiasm on 09.07.25. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of trees and the need to protect our environment for a greener and healthier future.

The celebration began with a special assembly highlighting the significance of Vanmahotsav, also known as the “Festival of Trees.” Students presented thought-provoking speeches, poems, and skits emphasizing the role of trees in sustaining life on Earth and combating climate change.

A tree plantation drive was the highlight of the event. The principal, staff, and student representatives planted saplings around the school campus, promoting the message of “One Student, One Plant.” Various native tree species were chosen to ensure sustainability and ecological balance.

Eco-friendly posters and charts created by students were displayed, showcasing creative ideas on conserving nature. Competitions such as slogan writing, painting, and essay writing on environmental themes were also organized to engage students meaningfully.

Speaking on the occasion, the ManagerSr.Mamata appreciated the students’ active participation and reminded everyone of their duty to nurture and protect nature. The event concluded with a pledge by the students to be responsible caretakers of the environment.

The Vanmahotsav celebration was not just a one-day event but a step toward building lasting awareness and action for environmental protection.
