Teachers’ Day, celebrated every year on 5th September, is a tribute to the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the lives of students and nurturing society with knowledge and wisdom. At St. Joseph’s High School (English Medium), Jokalandi, this special day was celebrated with immense enthusiasm and gratitude towards our respected Principal Rev. Sr. Ancy Mathew, Vice Principal Rev. Sr. Keerthana, and all the teachers.

 

Pre-Teachers’ Day Celebration (4th September 2025)

The celebration began a day earlier, on 4th September 2025, with a special program organized by the students of Nursery to Class IV. The little ones, with their innocent smiles and heartfelt gestures, expressed their love and respect for their teachers. They sang songs, presented short performances, and offered handmade cards, leaving everyone deeply touched. The joy on the faces of the teachers reflected the pure affection and admiration of their youngest students.

Celebrationon (5th September 2025)

On 5th September 2025, the main Teachers’ Day program was organized with grandeur. The students of Class VIII and IX welcomed all the teachers, along with Principal Rev. Sr. Ancy Mathew and Vice Principal Rev. Sr. Keerthana, in a traditional manner with aarti and diya. This symbolic gesture created a sacred and respectful beginning to the celebration.

Students came forward to speak a few words about their teachers, expressing their heartfelt thanks and appreciation. Their speeches highlighted the role of teachers as guides, mentors, and second parents who help in shaping both character and future.

The program officially commenced with a welcome prayer led by Rev. Sr. Keerthana, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Principal Rev. Sr. Ancy Mathew and Vice Principal Rev. Sr. Keerthana after which the lighted candles were carried by the teachersto place near the image of Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan symbolically. This ritual symbolized wisdom, enlightenment, and the spreading of knowledge.

 

Cultural Performances and Creative Expressions

The students showcased their talents and creativity through a series of programs:

  • Unique dances by students of Classes V to IX, each performance dedicated to honouring the teachers.
  • Special arrangements of refreshments and handmade tokens of love, presented by the students to their beloved teachers.
  • Handmade greeting cards, flowers, and small gifts, offered as a symbol of affection and gratitude.
  • A presentation of pictures and videos on the smart board, prepared by the students, featuring memorable moments of the teachers, Principal, and Vice Principal. This thoughtful gesture brought smiles and even joyful laughter.
  • To add a fun element, students had also prepared lighthearted games for the teachers, which made the celebration lively and memorable.

The highlight of the program was the way students expressed their love and respect through both words and actions. Their efforts reflected the immense value they place on the guidance of their teachers. They thanked their teachers sincerely for their patience, care, and dedication, acknowledging the sacrifices and hard work that go into shaping young lives.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs Anjali.Shewas gratefulto the Principal, Vice Principal, and teachers for their constant support and inspiration. Rev. Sr. Ancy Mathew, who once again appreciated the students for the love and affection they showed.

The Teachers’ Day Celebration of 2025 at St. Joseph’s High School was a perfect blend of reverence, creativity, and joy. It not only honoured the teachers but also strengthened the bond between teachers and students, reminding everyone that teaching is one of the noblest professions dedicated to shaping the future of the nation.
