8th March 2025 Teacher’s Orientation

The Orientation Programme for Teachers, held on 8th March ,2025 at St.Joseph’s School English Medium, aimed to empower educators with new teaching and motivational strategies for enhancing student learning experiences. The event featured a prominent speaker, Fr. Dixson Lawrence D’Souza SVD, known for his expertise in many fields. Sr. Archana, SrSubhashree , Principals of St. Joseph’s High School English Medium and Odia Medium, Vice Principals – Sr. Keerthana , Sr.Sanjukta, Sr. Gnana,teachers of both St. Joseph’ s High School Odia Medium and English Medium attended the orientation programme.
About the Guest Speaker:
The session began by welcoming guest speaker, Fr. Dixson Lawrence D Souza, to the stage, with a bouquet by Sr. Archana, Mrs Anjali offered a stole and a token of gratitude was presented by Sr. Subhashree. It was followed by an introduction to the speaker by Mrs.ReshmaTripathy.
Fr. Dixson Lawrence D Souza is a religious missionary priest in the society of Divine Word and has made significant contributions and extended services as a Catholic Priest, Professor of Sacred Theology, motivational speaker, counsellor, retreat guide, chef, content creator, designer and decorator. He has won 13 Gold medals in Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology from Loyola College, Chennai. He has received many other prestigious awards including Student of the Year (2008 – 2009), Tamil Nadu State Environment Award and ‘Summa Cum Laude ‘award for Licentiate in Sacred Theology. Presently, he is the assistant director and Treasurer of Divya Dham Retreat Centre, Jharsuguda, Odisha since 2021.
This session provided invaluable insights on“PAUSE – RE EVALUATING PRIORITIES AND DISCOVERING NEW HORIZONS “bringing changes in both personal development and professional growth for teachers across various educational levels. The speaker shared a profound perspective on the evolving landscape of education and the significant role teachers play in shaping future generations.
The orientation programme was an inspiring and enriching experience for all attendees. Teachers left the session equipped with fresh perspectives on their role in education and practical tools to enhance their teaching techniques. The speaker’s insightful presentation, combined with the interactive elements of the programme, ensured that every teacher left with valuable knowledge that could be implemented in their classrooms immediately.
The Teacher’s Orientation Program was a resounding success, providing both new and experienced educators with valuable tools, insights and connections to help them succeed in the classroom. The program not only prepared them for the academic year ahead but also reinforced the significance of a collaborative and supportive teaching environment.
The enthusiasm and engagement displayed by all the participants reflect their commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Prateek, who expressed gratitude to the organizing team, speaker, and attendees for making the program a success.
