On the 26th of January,2025, St.Joseph’s High School (English Medium), Jokalandi, celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The event began at 7:30 AM, with the students and teachers gathering in the school playground. The flag- unfurling ceremony was the highlight of the morning, which was led by our principal,Sr Archana and the invited Guest – Mrs. Sujata Jena, the senior most teaching staff of St.Joseph’s High School Odia Medium ,Jokalandi whose presence added to the grandeur of this occasion.She serves as a mentor to all, with more than 30 years of dedication and service. She is also the President of Mahila Samiti, Bharatpur.She was welcomed witha flower bouquet and honoured with a stole.
The national flag was raised, followed by the singing of the national anthem.
After the flag hoisting, Mrs. Sujata Jena, spoke about the significance of Republic Day, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the importance of upholding the values enshrined in our Constitution.
The day ended with refreshments being served to all the students and staff. The celebrations were a reminder of our nation’s unity, diversity and the progress we continue to make as a country.
Overall, the Republic Day celebration at our school was a grand success filled with pride, joy and a renewed sense of patriotism.
