“Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.” ― Lao-Tzu
The annual charity drive at St. Joseph’s High School (English Medium), Jokalandi, was held on 15th January 2025 with the goal of supporting the inmates of Missionaries of Charity, Mother Teresa Home.
The primary aim of the charity drive was to raise funds, collect clothing and non-perishable food items. The drive sought to promote a spirit of giving and community involvement among students and staff.
The charity drive kicked off with an announcement during school assembly, where students were informed about the cause and encouraged to participate. Organizing committees, consisting of volunteers from different grade levels, coordinated efforts to set clear goals for donations.
On the final day of the drive, the school held a special assembly where the total amount of donations was revealed. The overwhelming response was a testament to the compassion and dedication of the school community. Not only did the charity drive collect essential supplies, but it also raised awareness about the issues faced by the community, encouraging students to become more socially conscious and involved in giving back.
As a part of the charity drive, a group of talented students performed a heart-warming dance and song at the Missionaries of Charity, Mother Teresa Home, bringing joy to both the attendees and those in need.
